This is one of those "transcends gen/slash boundaries" stories. It's just love.

I agree. It's short, says nothing directly, but through their actions shows us everything about their relationship. Wonderful piece of writing.

...it's June before I'm gettin' back to you. :)
You know how I LOVE that story. It's a textbook lesson in what I try to do every time I write a story -- let the story tell itself.
It takes confidence in both your writing skill and your handle on the characters to do that, and if I ever succeed the way you did in "Refuge," I'll be damn' proud of myself.
