Song meme

They won't all be "songs." I'll just say my favorite pieces of music, shall I? I also don't think I can get it down to five.

1. First movement of La Mer. The crescendo near the end always makes me burst into tears. I don't listen to it when anyone else is around.
2. Mendelssohn's violin concerto
3. Samuel Barber's "Sure on this Shining Night"
4. Dun Ringill, Jethro Tull
5. Meditation, from Massenet's Thais (probably because I listened to it constantly wheile writing my Sherlock Holmes pastiche, so it's inextricably tied up emotionally with that book)

If you looked at my shelves you would see a lot of Debussy and Jethro Tull, a fair amount of Steeleye Span, and a mix of other stuff.

Ha! There you are. It's sometimes necessary to resort to evil means to lure some folk back. *eg*

Hey...

Well heck. Those tongues just seemed to be in way too perfect coordination, but I guess they really were! JD and Jess are two dogs with but a single thought: LICK.
