So I was thinking...

... as I was driving home from work ... you never see the guys, like, do grocery shopping, do you? Then I thought about how rarely they'd have time to reliably do things like that, and I wondered, does UNCLE have a grocery service? So the agents don't get poisoned or turned via mind-altering drugs?

Any theories on how they do basic housekeeping type stuff?

There's also the overall security question when it comes to where they live when they're not working. If UNCLE own the buildings where they live, it would make sense if they also somehow provided a grocery service, at least for the basics.

But then I've got to the point where I've read so much fic (not to mention written it) that includes the boys' apartments outside work that I hardly know what's canon and what isn't any more. ;)

I don't think we ever see them doing any domestic stuff outside of work (of course, we don't get a lot of home life glimpses), but I was thinking they're kind of like soldiers in that they're constantly on call and can't realistically have a regular homelife, plus they are genuinely in danger, even when not working, so I thought some sort of in house process that bought the groceries and, you know, laundry soap, anonymously so THRUSH couldn't put something in it, then delivered, would make sense in terms of keeping the agents safe and keeping them clean and fed and all - an investment back into UNCLE, as it were.

And in terms of the actual place they live, I agree - fanon goes interesting places, but isn't it implied that UNCLE is involved in where they live because of security? Which makes a ton of sense and also makes them even more like soldiers, even though it leaves out a lot of good fanfic. :-)

God, no kidding. Right smack against the wall and they don't seem to even care. It's not like THRUSH doesn't know their address, for heaven's sake.
