Day 03 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favourite characters to write?
Alias Smith & Jones: Heyes and Curry (Heyes has the slight edge)
Man From UNCLE: Napoleon and Illya (Illya has the slight edge)
Starsky and Hutch: Starsky and Hutch (no edge)
Star Trek: Kirk and Spock primarily, then McCoy, then Scotty and Uhura
Harry Potter: Snape and Harry (though Snape has the edge as far as my interest goes, I find I generally write from Harry’s point of view)

It's kind of hard to articulate. I think it sometimes happens that the one I like best is the one whose point of view I don't use, because I like looking at my favorite characters from another character's point of view (this is not always the case, but it often is). Because I find Illya marginally more interesting, I like to write from Napoleon's point of view. It may partly be enjoying keeping the "mystery" of the favorite character. I'm really not sure, but I sense that, at least in my head, I learn more about a character when looking at him from another character's POV.
