On the editorial note, what's keeping you from finishing your long fic?
Mostly difficulties to round up the outcome, which must have an open ending without falling flat and being disappointing to the reader. The last scene is especially hard to write for intrinsic reasons I can't explain here. Moreover I use an odd and unpopular pairing (the boss and one of his agents: Cowley and Bodie, if you know the "Professionals" fandom) which is perfectly convincing to me but seems to horrify almost everybody else. So I haven't got many encouragements (though more than I expected).
I would be delighted to know your opinion as an editor (the more severe and uncompromising the better; my otherwise excellent beta is way too indulgent). But don't feel obliged if you are not interested. Thanks for asking anyway.
