Thanks to Di...

...the Goddess who somehow had a copy of it, my story from RS7, "Small Distances," is now archived at The Chrome and Gunmetal Madhouse (no, I haven't yet learned how to make that a hotlink, yes, I know, I suck, I'm a dinosaur).
It's not a new story, but it's at least new to the Net.

I haven't yet learned how to make that a hotlink

With LJ, all you have to do is paste in the URL and it will hotlink for you. :)

Thanks!

I just went to the LJ FAQ place to read up on it, since I'm actually starting to feel my laziness in doing the basic html homework is becoming counterproductive, but I always appreciate people pointing me in the right direction and giving me shortcuts!

If someone had said "html" to me even 5 years ago I'd've laughed. I think this is what happened to the dinosaurs. :)

No problem at all! Happy to help if I can. :)

And the story is lovely! I'm so glad you posted it. Just the perfect way to take the sting out of the parking ticket I just got. :-P

And thanks again!

So I guess we can look forward to you turning into oil in about 65 million years?

I'm really glad Di had a copy of the story. Thank you so much for archiving it at CGM. FYI, the graphics are coming together and eventually that ugly black border around the story will be gone. We just have to wait and make all the changes at one time. I really want to stop and read it, but I have to do RL work, and then finish betaing this 280+ page Harry Potter story. *sigh* The things I do for my friends. :-)

Thanks again for archiving it with us!

Y'know...

...I actually like the white with black border theme, but the border's too wide. The overall look is kind of stark and simple, which I like. But I admit it'll be nice to get a bit more text and a bit less border going on there. :)

I feel the same way. The reason the border will go completely, however, is for people like Di who want to print out stories. That kind of border really uses up a lot of ink.

Whee! Can't wait to read it. Thanks for putting it online. :)
