Is there canon on when UNCLE was founded? Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Also, what section do y'all think would be involved in such things as PR for UNCLE? Including anti-PR, as it were - keeping the organization out of the news.

Well, it's the crossover Starsky & Hutch/MFU story that I've been mucking with. :-) It's a bit plotty. I hope I can produce a complete story in something resembling a reasonable time. I love to look at our guys from the outside POV. :-)

Depending on how you consider the pro novels as canon (I take a 'choose your own adventure' approach)the implication is that UNCLE is a post WWII creation, but THRUSH goes back to the Victorian London for its origins.

I know some people don't care for book canon, but I can tell you I was delighted at the idea that Professor Moriarty founded THRUSH. Absolutely delighted. I totally accept that as canon. I've treated THRUSH as an acronym since the day I read that book. :-)
