1) What car did you drive during high school? (parents' cars count)

Then: Didn't drive in high school (there was a car in my general area that was a double for the Torino, and how I LONGED for that to be my first car. It wasn't).

Now: RAV4

2) What was your favorite song during high school?

Then: Couldn't tell you - too long ago. I was a Beatles fan, so it was probably a Beatles song.

Now: I still don't have one favorite - I have favorite pieces from various composers and songs from various artists.

3) Who did you have a celebrity crush on, other than Starsky or Hutch?

Then: Pete Duel's a lifelong crush. David McCallum (I watched The Invisible Man back then). The Beatles, mostly Paul and John (they were long broken up by then, but I discovered them in the 70s)

Now: I don't have crushes, though I'm still a fan of Pete's work, David's work, etc.

4) Were you involved in other activities in high school, and what were they?

Then: Choir

Now: Not sure what "activities" means. Hobbies? I'm in a rock n roll band and I write fiction (have done both those things for many years, off and on).

5) What was the first name of your best friend in high school?

Then: Patty

Now: Tresa

6) What was your favorite TV show?

Then: Starsky & Hutch! I also watched Star Trek & AS&J reruns (still favorites) and I loved MASH and Barney Miller.

Now: I don't watch TV (I don't have TV service and haven't for 12-plus years). I rent movies and TV series sometimes, and I watch old favorites on video.

7) Do you remember your favorite article of clothing during high school and what was it?

Then: You bet I do. I had a white gauze blouse with A shaped sleeves and an A shaped bodice (kinda floppy) with a dangly hippie-type bead in front. I loved that blouse!

Now: I don't have any one favorite.

8) Did you have a job and what was it?

Then: No.

Now: Technical editor

9) What career path did you want to follow after high school?

Then: Doctor or Lawyer - there was no real thought behind it, just a vague sense of "these are good careers" without any recourse to my actual talents or desires. Clearly this went away as I grew up.

Now: Editor. I really enjoy it, and I'm good at it. It will never make me rich.

10) Describe your hairstyle during high school

Then: Long and straight and parted down the middle. I have extremely fine, wimpy hair.

Now: Midlength, straight, bangs.

Could I be more boring?

Yay! You played!

That guaze blouse sounds awesome. It seems that more than a few of us didn't drive in HS, that surprised me. I thought it was just me.

Cool that you've done without television for over a decade, I'm proud to tell people that I don't have cable I only watch free TV.

We're not boring...we're stable and normal. Nothin' wrong with that.

Well, we're not normal! We're weird better than "normal" because we do fanfic. ;-)

That sounds terribly familiar. ;-) For once, my straight, absolutely-no-curl hair was a plus.

Well, my hair might've been fashionable, but my figure sure wasn't, so the hair didn't really count for anything! :-)
