Day 05 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
See previous answer. When it happened I ran with it and it seemed to work out, but I can easily see that it could be detrimental to the story. In fanfic, I wouldn’t care – I’m self-indulgent there.

I would think it would be a lot less likely to happen in fanfic--unless you're interested in writing a particular universe rather than a particular character or pairing.

I don't know - the question is kind of odd, to me - a bit twofold. There's "muse," which to me is that inner drive that absolutely insists you put some sort of words on paper. Then there's the whole idea that a particular character seems to take over the storytelling, which is a whole other matter. Both have happened to me, but not in fanfic. Well ... sort of not; Damien kind of wanted more focus on himself in the two stories he was in - but he was an OC. I still feel like the focus even in those stories was on NS/IK.
