I've never had the slightest urge to recommend stories in this LJ until last night when I realized I could call them T recs.

Now I'm overcome with the urge to do it.

So ...

Rec #1 -- Everyone go read Nyssa's stuff.

I like this. Are you referring to that thing from Jurassic Park or the 70´s group? I hope it´s the latter.

Would you mind if I put you on my friends´ list?

Flora

...I was just thinking about the dinosaur, but if I had to choose between the movie and Marc Bolan ... easy choice. :) Not that I didn't like the movie and all, but ...
("watch now ... I'm gonna slide...")

Yikes. Now T Rex is stuck in my head! (Off to see if they're available on CD)

LOL! I love the name.

And yes, I've read some and will read more. :)

Heehee Ms T! Love it. I agree with you wholeheartedly about Nyssa's stories. She was one of the first slash writers I read and was definitely one of the reasons I was 'converted'.

T. Recs is obviously very wise and dispenses good advice. Do you have a complete list of her MfU stories, just to be sure us starving readers are finding all of them?

Nyssa recs

Er...this is why I'm a lousy reccer. I'm ignorant of the whole MFU library, as it were. I know nearly nothing about zines, having been 99 percent online focused in my 2-plus-year MFU fanficcing adventure, so I don't know what of hers (or of anyone's) is in what zines when, but I do know a handful of her stories are on File 40 (slash) under Nyssa. Fair warning: The Safety of Distance will break your heart. Read it anyway. :)

Rats, we're in the same leaky boat then. I've not seen much in the way of zine fic as yet, so have no idea what might be out there. I've devoured all her online fic from File 40 and loved it. She's an amazingly talented writer, with a real sense of who Napoleon and Illya are and the kinds of pressures they face, I think. And yeah, The Safety of Distance is truly a heartbreaker of a story. Very understated and all the more powerful because of that.

Two of her stories that are listed on File 40 have bad links, so I'll post the correct links here so that those who have not read them can do so.

Hey, thanks, this is a nice surprise! I´ve wanted to reread "Nevermore" for quite a while but couldn´t find it, due to that bad link.

Thanks for the correct links! I'd been frustrated by that!

Lee, thank you for the recs. I hadn't read The Safety of Distance yet, but I've now loaded it to my pda to read next. Thanks!

Coming back to say that I had read The Safety of Distance, but it was some time ago, and it turned out to be one of the stories I've recently been trying to remember. I could only only recall that final scene in the motel, which vividly burned itself into my brain the moment I read it. Thanks, T!
