... some fabulously kind being in the other fandom gifted me with a year's paid LJ time. I'm overwhelmed. And embarrassed -- I don't know what to do with it. Can anyone who's swish give me some faint idea of the most obvious differences between paid and unpaid LJ? Not a tutorial, I don't want to waste people's time, just some of the most obvious "Here's what you can do that you couldn't before?"

(I've looked in the LJ FAQs and so very much of it is over my head...)

Any help much appreciated.

You can also use an LJ email. Not sure what the name of the other account is, but if it was for this one you can set it so that people will email you at leethet @ livejournal.com and it will show up in your regular inbox. It's a nice privacy thing if you don't want the whole world to have your regular email address.

Paid accounts used to get you a whole lot of great stuff, like being on a faster server, but not so much any more.
