I have a question

... which I will crosspost for obvious reasons.

What - assuming Starsky and Hutch are working with them on a case and become at least semi-friendly - would Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin call them? Hutch works, but surely not "Starsky"? For those of you familiar with both worlds, what do you think?

I could not imagine Starsky being called by any other name than "Starsky" as Hutch never uses "David". There is nothing peculiar in the use of family names between friends; during my school days it was an universal custom.

I don't understand why my Windows system (and not Linux) stubbornly refuses to let me logged permanently. I hate Windows.

Well, Hutch never uses David, but other people do (Hutch of course being a special case anyway). I'm thinking of NS and IK. They call each other, and friends, by their first names, so it makes sense that they'd say "Ken" and "David" once they got to know S&H. While I can see them using "Hutch" I can't see them saying "Starsky." It just seems out of character for NS and IK.
